Making Liquid Comfrey Tomato Food
Once the comfrey plant has established it can be cut back to within a few inches from the ground up to 5 times per year as comfrey grows very vigorously. Once the leaves are harvested, simply place them in a bucket with a lid and weight them dowm with a couple of bricks. Place the lid on and leave the leaves to rot down, afterwards you will be left with a thick black liquid which can be watered down 15:1 to produce your own organic liquid feed. The benefit is naturally a long term one that will give you a constant supply of free plant food. Please note that cuttings are normally sent out from Late February to September so if you order out of that period we will dispatch them to you as soon as they become availble. We suggest booking them now as we only have limited quantities and make them available on a first come first serve basis each year. If you see "sold out" in the shop you will know that we have reached our maximum for the season.
